Terms of Service

By accessing or using Reverie: Ritual Planner (“Reverie,” “the App,” or “the Service”) — including our web application at reverie.enchantedreads.app and our iOS and Android mobile applications — operated by Enchanted Reads (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Enchanted Reads. By creating an account, completing a purchase, or otherwise using any part of the Service, you affirm your acceptance of these Terms and of our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this minimum age. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe the user does not meet the minimum age requirement.

Reverie is a cozy ritual planner — a reflective planning companion, not a productivity, to-do, or medical tool — available on the web, iOS, and Android. The Service provides tools to:

• Weekly Ritual — the heart of Reverie: daily blocks (up to five tasks per day, Monday through Sunday) with check-off animations, your top three goals of the week, a mood tracker rendered as glowing orbs, a light habit/practice tracker, a wishlist, a “Don’t Forget” block, and notes — set up through a guided Sunday Ritual flow that ends with a shareable Week Card.
• Monthly & Yearly Spreads — monthly goals, habit grids, and notes; and “The Year’s Tale,” with your Word of the Year, yearly intentions, twelve monthly Chapters, a Dozen Dreams bucket list, and a December Year in Review.
• Weekly Affirmations — a short, warm, literary affirmation generated by AI or written by you (see Section 7).
• Dream Board (Карта мечты) — a freeform collage where you place images, text cards, and stickers on a themed background, exportable as phone wallpaper.
• Seasonal Themes — the App’s look turns automatically through the year on a shared schedule; themes are not user-selectable and are the same for every user, free and premium alike.
• Extras — a Candle Streak for your weekly ritual, server-generated share cards, a Time Capsule letter to your future self, optional seasonal soundscapes, and home-screen widgets.

Reverie contains no advertising — ever. The Service may be modified, updated, or enhanced at any time, and we may add, change, or discontinue features, provided that material changes affecting paid subscribers will be communicated in advance.

To save and sync your planner across devices, you must create an account. Reverie supports Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google only. There is no email-and-password sign-in — ever. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Keep the Apple or Google credentials used to sign in secure and confidential.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Maintain only one account per person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are duplicates or were created in violation of these Terms.

5.1 Free & Premium

The weekly ritual and all seasonal themes are free, for everyone, forever — the free tier is meant to feel complete, not crippled. Reverie also offers an optional Reverie Premium subscription at $2.99 / month or $19.99 / year, which adds depth: unlimited history, the Monthly and Yearly spreads, unlimited AI affirmations with tone control, multiple dream boards with wallpaper export, seasonal soundscapes, home-screen widgets, and the Time Capsule.

5.2 Billing & Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and billed by the applicable store or payment processor: the Apple App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android, and Stripe (via RevenueCat Web Billing) on the web. Payment is charged to your store account or payment method at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5.3 Payment Methods

• iOS: Apple In-App Purchase, subject to Apple’s terms and subscription policies.
• Android: Google Play Billing, subject to Google’s terms.
• Web: Stripe via RevenueCat Web Billing (Apple Pay and Google Pay may be available as Stripe payment methods).

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your app store account settings (iOS / Android) or through the web billing portal. Upon cancellation, you keep Premium features until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. No prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.

5.5 Prices & Changes

Prices are confirmed at checkout and may vary by region and platform. We may adjust subscription pricing; where required, changes will be communicated in advance, and continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5.6 Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and the policies of the platform through which you subscribed — Apple, Google, or Stripe. For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google.

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of everything you create in your planner — including tasks, goals, moods, habits, wishlist and “Don’t Forget” items, notes, affirmations you write, yearly intentions and dreams, and the images, text cards, and stickers you place on your Dream Board (“User Content”).

6.2 Storage & Privacy

Your planner is private to you. Dream-board images you upload are stored privately in our object storage (DigitalOcean Spaces). Reverie has no public feed and no social sharing — your content is not shown to other users.

6.3 License Grant

By using the Service, you grant Enchanted Reads a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, sync, back up, and display your User Content back to you solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. This license lasts as long as your content remains on the Service and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow removal from backups and caches.

6.4 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the right to upload it. You must not upload content that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others.

Reverie generates weekly affirmations through a pluggable AI provider layer — currently OpenAI (the default) or Anthropic Claude, selected by us on the backend. By using AI features you acknowledge and agree to the following.

7.1 What We Send (Strict Privacy Rule)

To generate an affirmation, we send the AI provider only the titles of your weekly goals, along with your language, the current season/theme, and your optional tone preference (gentle, bold, or poetic). We never send your notes, wishlist, moods, dream-board content, or any other personal entries to the AI provider.

7.2 Nature of AI Content

Affirmations are short, warm, literary lines intended for inspiration and reflection only. They are not professional, medical, mental-health, financial, legal, or any other form of advice. AI-generated content may vary and is not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose; you should review it before relying on it.

7.3 Fallback & Usage Limits

If the AI service is unavailable, a curated, hand-written affirmation may be shown instead. Affirmation generation is subject to fair-use limits that vary by tier — the free tier includes one generation per week; Reverie Premium includes unlimited generations and tone control. You may always write your own affirmation.

Reverie is a personal, private planner. It has no social network, public profiles, comments, leaderboards, or community feed — your spreads and dream boards are yours alone, and there is no user-to-user interaction to moderate. The only outward-facing artifacts are the share cards and wallpaper exports you choose to create and share yourself (see Section 9).

Even so, when using the Service you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems.
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, or use automated means to scrape or interact with the Service, except as permitted by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the networks connected to it.

The Service — including its design, user interface, seasonal theme illustrations, animations, Rive and other artwork, software, and branding (excluding your User Content and AI-generated affirmations) — is the exclusive property of Enchanted Reads and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent. “Reverie,” “Reverie: Ritual Planner,” and “Enchanted Reads,” together with related names and logos, are trademarks of Enchanted Reads.

Share cards and wallpaper exports generated by the Service include an @enchanted.reads.app watermark and the enchantedreads.app URL. You may share these exports for your personal, non-commercial use, but you must not remove or alter the watermark or use them for commercial purposes.

The Service relies on third-party providers whose own terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. We are not responsible for their practices, and disruptions to a third-party service may affect certain features. These providers currently include:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store In-App Purchase.
• Google — Sign in with Google and Google Play Billing.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and billing orchestration.
• Stripe — web payment processing via RevenueCat Web Billing.
• OpenAI & Anthropic — AI affirmation generation.
• DigitalOcean — cloud infrastructure and private file storage (Spaces).
• PostHog — privacy-friendly product analytics.

We may add or change third-party providers at any time.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Enchanted Reads and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law; or (e) your violation of any third party’s rights.

14.1 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or others. Where practical for minor or first-time issues, we will try to provide a warning first, but we are not obligated to.

14.2 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, or by contacting us at [email protected]. Account deletion permanently removes your data — including spreads, moods, habits, affirmations, and dream boards — and cannot be undone, so we recommend keeping your own copies (for example, exported wallpapers) of anything you wish to preserve. Any active subscription must be cancelled separately through your app store.

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution.

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

15.2 Venue

You agree that the courts located in British Columbia, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15.3 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will attempt to resolve the matter in good faith within thirty (30) days.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Enchanted Reads regarding your use of the Service, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, regarding the Service.

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable prior notice through the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are published in English. If a translated version (for example, Russian or Ukrainian) is provided in the future and there is any conflict, the English version governs.
