Enchanted Reads (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Lore — The Bookshop Oracle mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Account Information. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. We do not receive or store your Apple/Google password.
Game Data. We store your daily visitor choices, book selections, match results, streaks, shop progress, and achievements on our servers so you can access your history across devices.
Device Information. We collect basic device information (device model, OS version, app version) for analytics and to improve the app experience.
Push Notification Tokens. If you enable notifications, we store your push token to send daily reminders.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the game experience
- To sync your history and progress across devices
- To send daily visitor notifications (if enabled)
- To generate personalized oracle readings via AI
- To improve the app through anonymized analytics
AI-Generated Content
Oracle sentences are generated using the Anthropic Claude API based on your book choice and visitor archetype. We send only the visitor type, book title, and match tier to the AI — no personal information is included in these requests.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Anthropic — for AI oracle sentence generation (no personal data sent)
- RevenueCat — for subscription and purchase management
- PostHog — for anonymized analytics
- Apple / Google — for authentication and push notifications
Data Retention
We retain your game data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app.
Your Rights
You may:
- Access your data through the History screen in the app
- Delete your account and all data from Settings
- Opt out of push notifications at any time via device settings
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us at [email protected]
Children's Privacy
Lore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date above.
